Composed of two artists from Memphis, Tennessee, Banana Plastik is a collaborative team aiming to bring color and vibrancy to walls everywhere. Paige Ellens (She/Her) and Ivy-Jade Edwards (She/Her) graduated from the University of Memphis where they both majored in Studio Art with a concentration in painting. Between Edwards' striking illustrative style and Ellens' attention to color and patterning, the two painters joined forces to collaborate on murals and other public artworks. The overall consensus between the two is that line work and color are the most important elements in their creative process. Both artists are inspired by murals, contemporary art, and pop culture, including anime, film/TV, and music.
